As 2021 ended, we lost Col George Ishikata unexpectedly to natural causes. Everyone who has grown up in the Cadet Training Group knew George as a quiet giant who would light up anyones day with simple yet profound words. George served in the following positions for the CTG and CAWG Encampment:
- India Flight Commander – C/2d Lt – 1979
- CTG Deputy Commander – C/Maj – 1980
- CTG Commander – C/Lt Col – 1981
- Encampment Commander – 1990
- Commandant of Cadets – 2004
- Deputy Commander Support – 2016
- Director of Cadet Programs – 2016-2019
